Date: 03 March 2008
The Manning Clark House 2008 Weekend of Ideas, to be held at the House in Canberra on March 29 and 30, will focus on citizenship issues. See the flyer available under 'downloads' on this page for all the details.
The topic, “Australian citizenship – is it really worth having?”, provides scope for discussion and debate about the significance of Australian citizenship in contemporary Australia, with a view to seeking solutions to lead us to a better future.
It will be held under a large marquee in the gardens of Manning Clark House. Food and drink will be available. There are stalls selling books on the topic and other merchandise. Free tours of the historic house will be conducted by Sebastian Clark.
