I refer to the letter: One nation?
A nationally consistent approach to both care and education professionals, a joined-up approach underpinned by a national curriculum framework that was aligned with quality assurance standards and state regulations, OH&S practices not to mention national transportability of qualifications, most would think were fairly achievable goals in a single nation.
Thankfully the current government is taking the alignment of state and federal governments seriously and working to achieve some great joined-up approaches across many areas. Care and education is on the list rather than in the too hard basket, so I hope your experinces of moving states will soon be a poor practice of the past.
Good luck with the job search and hope we have a new voice to raise in regards to the work conditions of care professionals in general.
